Posidonia is an endemic plant in the Mediterranean and has been declared World Heritage by UNESCO for its multiple benefits to the environment.
Taking care of the Posidonia is essential to conserve this fantastic environment and it is the responsibility of everyone
We all play a role in protecting the Posidonia. Follow these steps:
1 Do not anchor above the Posidonia meadows. Check before anchoring. 2 Respect the marine life in the meadows. Do not disturb the fauna or pull up any plant species. 3 Take care when swimming so that you don’t damage the sea beds or raise sediments. 4 Keep the sea beds free from rubbish. Do not throw any waste into the sea and if whilst anchoring or diving you find any plastics, lead weights or batteries, take them with you onland and throw them away in their respective containers. 5 Participate as a volunteer in the network that monitors the Posidonia meadows.
