A marina that breathes green and lives blue: a new chapter at Marina Port de Mallorca

Marina Port de Mallorca has renewed its concession and is kicking off a new cycle with sustainability and innovation as the cornerstones of its management approach. The marina, located in the middle of the Paseo Marítimo in Palma and managed by IPM Group, is opening this new chapter by underlining its commitment to the sea, its customers and the city, with a slogan that sums up its philosophy: "a marina that breathes green and lives blue".

Marina Port de Mallorca's roadmap focuses on energy efficiency and respect for the natural environment. Planned actions include:

Solar energy and energy efficiency: solar panels on pergolas and dock fingers, solar paving, and an aerothermal system to reduce consumption.
Water management: on-site desalination plant and rainwater collection systems to make the shift towards water self-sufficiency.

The marina will also be underlining its commitment to marine biodiversity with pioneering technologies, such as:

Oxygen nanobubbles to improve water quality without chemicals.
Biohut nurseries for young fish, fostering biodiversity in the port area.
Real-time measurement probes to monitor the health of the marine ecosystem.

Aside from technology and infrastructure, the human factor will continue to be one of the centrepieces of the marina. The Marina Port de Mallorca team, with decades of experience under its belt, is passionately committed to a friendly and professional service tailored to the needs of each customer.

And it is thanks to this human quality, combined with the concierge service and personalised attention, that the marina is an industry benchmark in the Mediterranean.

Its location in the middle of the Paseo Marítimo in Palma offers users a unique setting: the calm and privacy of an urban marina with all the services and direct connection to STP Shipyard Palma, the largest superyacht refit and repair centre in the Med. This added value means that customers can enjoy an end-to-end experience, without missing out on the city centre vibe.

"Marina Port de Mallorca was the group's first marina, so we've grown together with our customers. This new chapter is really exciting because it means we can continue innovating without losing our intrinsic values: respect for the sea and the friendly service that defines us", explains Patrick Reynés, CEO of IPM Group.

With this new approach, Marina Port de Mallorca has underlined its position as a gold standard in the Mediterranean, anchoring itself as an efficient marina model that is connected to and committed to its surroundings. A new chapter has begun, greener and bluer than ever.
