Marina Port Mallorca and Marina Palma Cuarentena hold annual fire drill

With a view to ensuring maximum safety at their facilities, Marina Port Mallorca and Marina Palma Cuarentena recently held their annual fire drill.

This activity, jointly organised by the two marinas and led by the company Global Management, with the collaboration of José Luis Fayos, was carried out at Marina Port Mallorca's facilities and attended by the shoreside team and office staff from both marinas.

The drill kicked off with a theoretical session reviewing response procedures in the event of fire and the correct use of equipment such as fire extinguishers, motor pumps, and hoses.

Later on in the day, in the practical part, the team had the chance to apply this knowledge through real exercises.

Staff practised extinguishing fires using fire extinguishers, hydrants and hoses, in addition to performing manoeuvres such as securing yachts and using portable pumps to control fires.

Patrick Reynes, CEO of the IPM-IMG Group, underlined the importance of these activities to maintain high safety standards:

"Continuous training is one of the cornerstones of our philosophy. This drill boosts the technical skills of our teams and reflects our unwavering commitment to safety and service excellence. Guaranteeing a safe environment for our customers, their yachts, and our staff is an absolute priority for Marina Port Mallorca, Marina Palma Cuarentena, and all our facilities".

These types of initiatives help improve the technical skills of staff and foster collaboration and coordination between the two marinas, key elements towards ensuring a safe environment. With activities such as this drill, Marina Port Mallorca and Marina Palma Cuarentena have again highlighted their commitment to excellence in the management and safety of their facilities.
